Description
Stefana (Wedding Crowns) are worn on the heads of the Bride and Groom, symbolizing eternity, wisdom, justice and integrity. The ribbon that joins these rings will remain intact for a lifetime, symbolizing the unbroken bond between man and woman. These crowns will be exchanged 3 times during the wedding ceremony, as words are not spoken between bride and groom, during the ceremony, their presence being a sign of their dedication to each other. Once the wedding blessings are bestowed on the newlyweds, they are removed and permanently stored in a Stefanothiki box. These beautiful boxes keep the flames of love alive and are typically hung in the couple’s bedroom.
