Description
Hand painted icon of Saint Eudokimus, made in Mount Athos, on natural wood. The icon is delivered in a wooden box.
Saint Eudokimus was born in Cappadocia during the reign of Emperor Theophilus (829 - 842 AD) from a rich and pious family. Evdokimos' parents, Basilios and Evdokia, raised their son in the way of the Lord, according to the dictates of the Gospel. Soon, Eudocimus was distinguished for his virtues and morals, elements that were appreciated by the emperor, who appointed him to high administrative positions in the empire. Evdokimus always exercised his power fairly and at the same time did great charity work. At the age of 33, Evdokimus became seriously ill and finally fell asleep. His memory is commemorated on July 31.
