Description
According to 20th century legend, these three saints lived on the Greek Island of Lesvos in the 15th century. What is known of the three is that they had been killed by Turkish raiders. Over the next hundred years, there were sightings of a priest walking on a hill. Finally, one of the residents of the island decided to build a new church on the hill where the remains of the former church had been. There, he found the bones of three bodies with the beautiful smell of flowers emanating from their graves. It was widely reported that Saint Raphael took care of the sick in Lesvos, especially those with cancer. He is the Patron Saint for the protection against cancer.
