This guide, intended for small-group marriage ministries, contains six short clips taken from the GOA Center for Family Care's “Investing in Your Marriage” webinar featuring Dr. Ary Christofidis, licensed clinical psychologist and founder/director of the Orthodox Christian Counseling Institute in Chicago.
These clips discuss the different challenges that marriages face, why marriages sometimes suffer, and how couples may get to the point where they live more parallel lives, which intersect primarily around household and family responsibilities. The clips also discuss how much wisdom and spiritual medicine the church can provide to restore and strengthen the marital bond. Each clip is accompanied by follow up questions for couples to discuss together.
